Membership FAQ

You can still pay via cheque or direct deposit by filling out our Membership Form and mailing it to us with your cheque. Our mailing address is: BC Health Coalition, 302-3102 Main Street, Vancouver BC V5T 3G7.

We are moving to this new system because it will speed up online processing of memberships (if you are paying by credit card) while allowing us to connect and communicate more personally with you. You'll still be able to become a member of the Coalition through filling out our Membership Form and mailing it with your cheque.

ou do not need to take any action at this time. Your monthly donation will continue as is. We appreciate your support! However if you are planning on changing your monthly donation amount or details, please contact us at [email protected] so we can assist you. 

First of all - thank you for your generous donation! Please contact the office at [email protected] if you are planning on donating $10,000 or more to the BCHC. We'll provide you instructions at that time. 

No - you don't have to update anything from our old system. Your past donation/membership information would be transferred over into our new system. However, we do encourage you to renew your 2021 membership if you haven't already done so. Membership in the BCHC is annual so please don't forget to renew every year. 

Yes - if you are using a credit card! Please choose the "Donation" or "Organization Member" option. We welcome organizational memberships and donations through our new system. Please be sure to include the name of the organization you represent, the number of members in your organization, and your organization's primary contact on the payment page. 

No one is turned away due to lack of funds. We welcome your membership even if are not planning on donating at this time. Your voice and active membership are important. You can join or renew your free membership on the Donate page using the "Free Membership" option. If you are registering on behalf of an organization for free membership, we invite you to contact the BCHC office at [email protected] for more information. 

A big part of the reason we're moving to this new donation and membership system is that we've updated our payment processor and member management system to ensure all the information we collect from you is secure and confidential more than ever before. 

Unfortunately your contribution is not tax-deductible as we are not a registered charity. Our advocacy and active work on behalf of our members disqualifies us from charitable status. 

Yes - you definitely can. To set up monthly donations by credit card, go to our "Donation" page. Select the monthly option next to the amount you are planning to donate and you'll be charged monthly going forward for that same amount. You can always change your monthly donation in the future as well.
